Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows where can I get ugg boots, which are actualy made in Australia. I was looking at some websites, and no US-based website says where their boots are actually made. I don't wamt to get some cheap Chinese product, which will last a few weeks and it won't be made from real sheepskin.
Anyone advice on good Australian website, which ships to the US?

Problem with aussie sites shipping to the US is:
1. shipping cost ($30-50)
2. duty & tax
You should order Australian made uggs from a seller in the US. It's cheaper, and you get them faster too. |

Noel,
You are right to certain extent. The quality of the Chinese made boot is nowhere near the Aussie or Kiwi made ones. However, the cost and price is a lot lower. And that what matters (at least in America). As long as people will be living in such society of consumption, you won't be able to beat the system with your ideology. You will find a few individuals who will go against, but masses are the ones who decide.

90 % of Ugg Australia boots are made in China. Think of it this way, if you were supplying hundreds of thousands of boots to stores could the population of ugg makers in Australia fill the order? Thats right , no way! Certain of their boots are made in New Zealand. I believe they are the Sundance style. This style is a ver small % of what they sell.
About the material. If anyone sells shoes here in the US, US customes checks everything that is said about those shoes and it better be right. If someone advertises that they are selling boots made of sheepskin and they come from China, you can believe that they are what they are.
Its just not worth the loss of this great market. |
